July 2004 Junior Speech Day

We were lucky enough to have an ex-pupil as Guest of Honour, Paul Jenner. Paul was educated at Burnham Grammar School from 1995-2001. He graduated from Surrey Institute of Art & Design with BA (Hons) First Class degree in Journalism. He was a finalist for Student Radio Journalist of the Year 2004 in the Press Gazette’s Student Journalism Awards. He started his work experience at Star FM and is now a broadcast journalist on BBC Southern Counties Radio.

He gave a brief resume of his career to date and encouraged the BGS students to follow their hearts into what field interests them. We are most grateful for his time and presentation.
